CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION

As a not for profit volunteer organization with a mission to build, strengthen and deepen a personal and loving relationship with God and His people through prayer and the study of His Word, we are able to provide studies, conferences and Branch support through the generosity of our membership.  If you feel moved to support the Cornerstone Catholic Scripture Study with a free will offering, it will be used to advance our mission every day. We are always looking for more volunteers for the conference.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tuesday (2:00pm – 9:00pm)

Wednesday (7:30am – 9:00pm)

Thursday (7:30am – 1:00pm)

All Cornerstone members are welcome to the conference. However, there may be some topics that are suited for those in the leadership ministry. Please do not feel obligated to attend everything.

The conference is held at The Mercy Center, a beautiful place to connect with our Lord in St. Louis, MO. Here is a link to the website: https://mercycenterstl.org/ Please do not contact them directly about the CMC. Please contact cmc@thecornerstonescripturestudy.org with questions.

The conference is designed to be a teaching conference to learn more about the study for the upcoming year. There will be a keynote speaker who will handle the information as it pertains to the study. There are supplemental presentations about The Cornerstone or relevant topics throughout the conference.

It simplifies the process by giving you one registration option. Please ask your Branch Facilitator for assistance in registering if you are not able to go online yourself. You may also call Suzanne at 913-704-7946 with questions. To view the costs for staying overnight and daily commuters and to register please click on this link: https://thecornerstone.flocknote.com/signup/157313

Registration will close by May 31, 2024. Please plan accordingly. The Mercy Center has a max capacity of 150 attendees. Registration will close after that number is reached. Late registrations not accepted.

For many years now, the Shepherding Board has been subsidizing a portion of the costs of the CMC for members to attend. Naturally, the facility costs at the Mercy Center and other related conference expenditures have been rising. The new registration fees reflect coverage of those rising costs and the Shepherding Board continues to approve the provision of a subsidy for all members who attend. As well, the Board continues to be able to offer travel rebates and financial assistance (when requested) due to the generosity of our membership, both past and present.

Members who are requesting travel reimbursement will need to fill out form F-1 from the website. A link to the form is below:

https://thecornerstonescripturestudy.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/F-1-Reimbursement-Form-1.pdf

The form will need to be mailed to the Central Treasurer, Teresa Johnson after the Conference. Reimbursement will be provided as follows:

Flight costs – not to exceed $275 (Airfare and transportation to/from airport to Mercy Center included in this rebate.)

Designated driver of vehicle:

200-499 miles = $100    500-699 miles = $200    700 miles+ = $275

  • We will not be able to provide transportation to/from the airport for the CMC. Per our insurance carrier, the drivers are considered official operators for The Cornerstone and the insurance requirements are too much.

Below are some alternative transportation options for you:

  • Uber or Lyft
  • Chesterfield Taxi – http://www.chesterfieldtaxi.com – 314-738-0100 – They have a flat fee to/from the airport. St. Louis charges an additional $4 fee to leave the airport. Estimated rate: $25 – $30.
  • These transport costs are included in the maximum $275 rebate listed above.

Please fill out form F-11 from the website, and give it to your Branch Facilitator by May 15th. If approved, you will be notified by a member of the Shepherding Board by May 31st : Click the link below to upload the form: https://thecornerstonescripturestudy.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/F-11-Financial-Assistance-Form-1.pdf

The meals provided are – Tuesday evening dinner, Wednesday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Thursday breakfast and lunch. (Those staying Monday will also have dinner Monday, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday.)

There are no late registrations allowed – no exceptions.

The Mercy Center does provide snacks during break times.

Yes, there will be daily Mass.

No, the conference is tightly scheduled.

Each registrant will receive an e-mail reminder about the conference within one to two weeks before it starts. The e-mail will include the health form to be completed and brought to the conference. The conference schedule will also be attached for your reference.

Meals are provided with the Conference registration fee. A nametag and folder will be provided with a copy of the agenda and any other necessary items. However, please bring what works for you. Some people choose to bring a bible, notebook, and a rosary.

Each room has its own system. However, the facility can be cold/hot to some. Please dress in layers to be comfortable.
